Northcliffe Pioneer Museum
Lots of relevant history. The rock and mineral collections (>1200 specimens) were very impressive! Be prepared to spend some time if you like geology and/rocks!Also a lot of local history to explore including an old school, sporting memorabilia and the work life history of Northcliffe.The caretaker was very kind and knowledgeable.Certainly worth a visit if you're in town or close by!

May not be the most interesting place to visit. Yet, it held historical items that need to be preserved. Will you miss anything for not visiting this place? Probably not. But it may be a good idea to visit this place and give some appreciations to the staff & volunteers that have been working hard to preserve our history for the future generations.

Advertised as open, closed when we got there on Monday. Ran by volunteers, and a couple were ill. Worth trying to check before you leave home.

I really enjoyed the museum as a volunteer showed me around and explained everything en detail. This is a museum in a small town with a very specific history and the visit was truly enjoyable

Came across this randomly and popped our heads in. Left nearly an hour later feeling like we knew the town, region and people. Fantastic museum. Only cash donation currently so bring some change - worth every dollar.

So much interesting history explaining what life was like for the pioneers of this area ... plus heaps of other materials and collections. Spent 2 hrs reading and looking .. and need to go back again. Well done to all involved and the amazing volunteers!
